From a trucker's son to IIM Lucknow!

We are proud to share the inspiring journey of Sumant, who transformed his life with sheer determination and the right opportunities.

His turning point came when he enrolled in our Data Science and Programming course during his final year of engineering. This course opened a whole new world for him and changed his perspective towards work.

Sumant's dedication is commendable. He gathered study material online and spent 12 hours daily preparing for the CAT exam. His hard work paid off, and now he's at IIM Lucknow, ready to "work extremely hard" to learn the fundamentals of business and explore consultation roles.

We are excited to see Sumant achieve his goals of improving his family condition and gaining valuable work experience. His journey is a testament to the power of education and perseverance. Keep inspiring, Sumant!

Event Highlights

Paradox Premier League

The annual IIT Madras BS Paradox festival kicked off with a thrilling cricket tournament, where the brightest minds of the institute battled it out on the cricket pitch.

Prerna'24

Paradox 2024, concluded with a thought-provoking session Prerna'24.

The session featured renowned experts in the field who shared their insights on the latest advancements and future possibilities of electronics powering electronics.

This discussion provided valuable knowledge for students interested in the ever-evolving field of electronics.

Inauguration

In a riveting start to Paradox 2024, the inauguration ceremony witnessed a captivating performance by the Band, which along with the insightful address by Prof. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, left a lasting impression on the audience.

Panel Discussion

Creating Startup Corridors for Student-Led Innovation and Entrepreneurship, empowered students with valuable knowledge and a renewed sense of entrepreneurial spirit.

A distinguished panel of experts shared their perspectives on:

i) Fostering a culture of innovation and risk-taking among students.

ii) Building robust support systems for student-led startups.

iii) Bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Robo Soccer

The brightest minds of the IIT Madras BS program put their innovation and teamwork on display at a thrilling bot soccer competition held during Paradox 2024.

Students showcased their indigenously designed robots battling it out on a specially designed field. The ES vs. DS Robo Soccer Finals were nothing short of electrifying, with both teams demonstrating incredible innovation and sportsmanship.

Dream 2 Dance

The dance floor thrilled with a dazzling display of talent at Paradox 2024! Congratulations to all the participants!

Whether you graced the stage solo or as part of a group, your passion and talent left a lasting impression on the audience.

Kampus Run

BS students came together for a fun and energetic event – the Kampus Run! The Junta erupted in cheers as the winners crossed the finish line.

A huge round of applause for all the participants who pushed their limits and embodied the spirit of healthy competition. The Kampus run is a cherished tradition that fosters a strong sense of community within BS Degree.

DJ Night

With DJ Gowtham headlining the event, the dance floor was packed all night long with students eager to celebrate. This marked a historic moment for Paradox, the first time ever featuring such a renowned DJ.

Students were hyped to vibe with the GOAT and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Paradox Workshops

Students got a chance to chat with the Professors Andrew and Vignesh during Paradox 2024.
It was an awesome opportunity to pick their brains, get career advice, and maybe even score some insider tips!

At Paradox'24, Professor Vimal Kumar's workshop on "Platform Business Models in the Digital Economy" offered valuable insights into navigating this dynamic space.

The recently concluded Paradox'24 at IIT Madras saw a great turnout for the workshop titled "Permutations, Partitions, Patterns: A Mathematical Exploration," led by Prof. S. Viswanath from the Indian Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.

This immersive workshop provided a deep dive into the fascinating world of combinatorial mathematics.

Participants engaged with the concepts of permutations, partitions, and pattern recognition, gaining valuable knowledge and sharpening their analytical skills.

Prof. Meiyappan Lakshmanan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras, conducted an informative session on Gene Expression workshop at Paradox 2024.

Participants explored the intricacies of gene expression and gained practical experience in data analysis. The session fostered engaging discussions and provided valuable insights.

The "Responsible and Safe AI" workshop, conducted by Prof. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru (PK), Professor at IIIT Hyderabad, at Paradox 2024, was a great success.

Attendees gained valuable insights into the ethical and safety considerations in AI development, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of responsible AI practices.
